"Journey stay"
Our Saturday events were perfect. Three events, three 1st place Q's: Level 4, Colors; Level 3 Jackpot (title); and Level 3 FullHouse (title) . The temperature was just right and it went very smooth.
Sunday the temperature went up .... way up ... into the 90's We were in five events on Sunday and of course there were the other guys to walk and try to keep cool. They were so good.
Journey got a first place Q in Level 4 Jackpot. The rest were mostly close calls. Some more disappointing than others. I really wanted a Q in Level 3 Snookers. It would have been our very last Level 3 Q. We were close, into the sequence when Journey headed for the wrong tunnel. He did not put a foot into it, but his nose crossed the plain. Too bad he didn't have a pug nose on this one! The other one I especially wanted was the Level 4 Jumpers event. I goofed on this one. It was a very confusing course, to me. I could not find jump # 9. It was very hot, our last run of the day, neither of us were having fun on this run and I finally just gave up. Had we gotten this Jumpers Q, we would have titled and gotten in Level 5 for the first time. Oh well, there are other days and maybe they will not be so hot. It was record heat for April. It seems most every type of extreme weather is record breaking in the last couple years.
The jump pictures above are all taken during Journey's winning run in Jackpot, Level 4, on Sunday. This is the event where Journey must run the course on the other side of the pink ground ribbon. I must stay on the other side of the ribbon, just calling out directions to him. He is so good at it. In this particular event we were allowed to do it twice if we could. He did, so he accrued many points - about 60. This was a 1st place Q.

"Next?"
"Okay, here we go ...."
Well done A-frame Journey!

Okay, now the hard part .... loading up and driving home, it was nearly 8:00 PM when we left for home, 40 minutes away. Pretty hard day, but still fun visiting with friends and playing with my best buddies. We would have gone swimming when we got home, but everyone was too tired. Well, I was too tired anyway.
