This is our new gating system for the hatch back opening. I really like it. It is so well made. I pretty much put it together myself. It is made in Sweden and has picture directions - no text. Not easy real easy to put together but I was determined. My handyman called just as I was finishing up and he came over and checked it for me and did a little tightening of the screws.
The little fence posts have wooden nobs on top and they turn to loosen or tighten. You can put them at the proper height for your dogs and your car hatch opening. When it is all installed you can just turn the nobs until the posts are the right height.
The car hatch door closes just fine when you have the gate installed properly. You can change the slant of the gate to fit the slant of your door. You really don't have to alter the car in any way. I just put a foam rubber mattress over the floor once the gate is in and a blanket on top. It is so comfy for them and they can both stretch out flat when they want to sleep. If you click on the ad you can get measurements and more information. The ad says that it fits most vehicles. It fits in my Subaru Outback just perfect. I can tell that it would fit a larger vehicle and also a smaller one.
