We had a wonderful day at the German Shepherd Club of Oregon agility trial. It was an AKC ttrial and Journey was entered in FAST, Jumpers, and Standard.
Above is Journey's Novice FAST run. He did well, but no Q this time.
Above is Journey's Novice Jumper run.
Above is Journey's final Novice, Standard run. He got his title in this run today. He ran a clean run, with a score of 100. The standard course time was 74 and Journey did it in 56.15. Even with these scores, he took a second place to Patty Bensene's black German Shepherd, Raven. She is beautiful and it was a very pretty competition with the black and the white. Patty is an excellent instructor and she has had the #1 German Shepherd in USDAA twice. She is a professional agility trainer and has also won the Columbia Cup. Coming in second to her by only a few tenths of a second in time was just fine with me.
Raven was in love with Journey. He was so silly and had do idea what to do about her attention. He play bowed a little as she looked adoringly at him.
Journey's standard run got him his last Novice title. He will now be running in AKC Open class. Many people came over and congratulated us on the run. He was such a good boy and listened to me so carefully. Even the Judge came over after the run and congratulated us.
It was a good day!
