We had a short but very enjoyable visit with friends from San Antonio. Diana and Marc drove up to the northwest in their beautiful new RV.
With some direction from me and Diana, Marc squeezed the 32' RV through my entry gate and to the upper driveway where he turned it around and parked it. This was the first time I had met them, but it seemed as if we had known each other for a long time - since we have been friends on email for several years. Diana and Marc have two beautiful dogs. Sierra is a full sister to Journey, from a more recent litter. In case that is confusing: Sierra is a full sister because they have the same sire (Obi) and the same dam (Gabriella), although Sierra is younger - from a more recent litter.
Their other dog, Gypsy, is a purebred German Shepherd, however color is called a "Panda", and she has markings in black, tan and white. She is strikingly pretty. I had never seen a Panda, other than in pictures. Marc does agility with Gypsy and they tried out our agility course.

My camera has been having some problems and I did not get very good pictures, but I am posting them anyway, as Gypsy's color is so unusual and I also wanted to show Journey's sister Sierra. I did not get pictures of all of our guests. We were just too busy talking and enjoying our visit. Then the problems with my camera did not help either.
Gypsy
I am pretty sure my camera malfunction had something to do with Sierra's nose looking so long. She is a gorgeous pup and I know from experieince, she will grow into her beautiful nose. The picture below does make her nose look exceptionally long!

The dogs had a wonderful time. They were running the property and seemed to enjoy each others company. My boys wanted to go swimming, but the girls had never been in a swimming pool and they were not too keen about entering the pool, as they could not wade into it. When they all seemed exhausted, we put them in to take a nap and I took Diana and Marc for a little sight-seeing in the area. We finished our tour by stopping for dinner. They insisted on treating, and our dinners at The Masthead restaurant were very good. When we got home we let the dogs run a little, then they went to bed in their RV and I convinced my boys to come inside and wait to see the girls in the morning.
When I looked outside, the next morning, my boys were sitting in a semi-circle at the door to the RV, waiting for the girls to come outside and play. I fixed bacon & eggs for breakfast and the dogs entertained us.
Pirate, Gypsy & Quest
Quest and Gypsy had a wonderful time with the big blue football. Quest even discovered that he liked playing tug. The game was taking a toll on the football and Marc rescued it. Gypsy and Quest tried to talk Marc into giving it back to them.
Sierra was not sure the boys were safe to play with. She was more comfortable outside with them. I guess she just found it too close quarters in the house. She decided to protect her mom from them.

It was a nice visit and so wonderful to get to know these people. I really felt like I already knew them, but it was good to be able to meet and talk face to face. They set off on their long trip home as the boys and I watched them head down the road from our home.
