Our good friend, Judi came to visit in June. She had never been here and she had never met Journey. She knew Quest well, as we had gone to her puppy training classes when Quest was a baby. Judi and I used to do agility trialing with her Labrador Retriever, Kayla and my most special boy, Spirit. I visited California a few years ago and Judi met Pirate. She had never seen Journey though.

Judi arrived at the Portland Airport on a Saturday morning. I decided to let Quest go with me to pick her up, as he was the dog who knew her best. He was so excited to see her. We had a nice time driving home and catching up on everything. We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging around home and doing a little local sight-seeing.
On Tuesday Judi went to Journey's agility lesson with us. She enjoyed it. After class we drove on to Portland and stopped at my daughter Laura's house. We made plans to go camping on Thursday.
On Wednesday night we went to Pirate and Quest's rally class. Judi took a bunch of pictures of the dogs doing rally and agility. Thursday morning we loaded the RV and headed for Skamokawa - our favorite camping spot.

Friday we went for a drive to Cathlamet, and then a tour of Puget Island. We stopped at the Farmer's Market and bought some wonderful things to eat.
We showed Judi the little Victorian house I almost bought, before I found my home. I flew up to see it and put a deposit on it, subject to a couple seemingly small repairs. The people were not willing to do the repairs though, which made us concerned that they might be worse than they looked. It was electrical stuff and a little worrisome. I decided to let it go. It was really cute though.
Puget Island is a beautiful place and although I loved the house, I am happy I waited and got the home we have now.
