We had a sort of spread out Birthday celebration. We had dessert first as I had stopped at Dairy Queen after shopping. So everyone had a regular dinner, with the additiion of ice cream for dessert. Everyone got a new toy after the ice cream. We saved the steaks for the following night.

Our Birthday celebrations are pretty equal except the Birthday boy gets the first choice of most things. Quest and Pirate finished their ice cream first and thought it would be a nice idea to help Journey with his. I didn't let them have Journey's but Pirate did lick Journey's face as soon as he finished the ice cream.
The following day we continued the celebration. Journey got to go to the vet's with me so I could get his Birthday weight 88.0 lbs. He was surprised by the threesome in the picture below, just as we entered the front door.
Journey would like to have played with them, but something about the way they breathe makes him not so sure they are friendly.
Next we went to Home Depot for a couple things. It would have taken about twenty minutes, but when I take one of the dogs, everyone has to visit and shake hands, etc. They all love it there. Various clerks gave him treats and the whole shopping trip took over an hour. This time Journey noticed the little wooden statue of Mr. Home Depot?, not sure what they call him but Journey was not sure he was friendly and he checked with me to see if it was okay to sniff him.
Home at last. "Mom is cooking sirloin steaks and other wonderful stuff."
After dinner everyone got another new toy. Journey took his new ball and headed out to play. Quest has his new stuffed hawk.
Journey's tail has always been the longest, but if he could see the one on his shadow, he would be jealous. What a nice Birthday weekend!
