Well we are pretty much snowed in. I have a pinched sciatic nerve and the house is a mess .... and we have a new puppy.
Thanksgiving is over, and Black Friday is going on without me (as usual). The snow on the driveway is spotty, now that the temperature is above freezing. I could probably get the car down the hill, and maybe even back up the hill, but I have too much to do here ..... we have a new puppy!
Every toy my big dogs have ever received is now spread around the living room floor - probably at about one inch intervals. Same thing in the kitchen, the hallways, the laundry room and the dinning room ... we have a new puppy!
My daughter and her husband are coming up from Portland for a day after Thanksgiving dinner. I am looking forward to it, but hoping they will overlook the awful mess, new puppy and all.
I would love to finish vacuuming before they get here, but don't know if I will be able to do it. Sciatic problem and yep, puppy.issue.
It would be nice if I could put the little Green Machine away, but I am afraid of jinxing the puppy's perfect record of going outside to take care of business. It has been almost a week since he has had an accident. He had that one when I put the marvelous Little Green Machine away, about a week ago. It may become a permanent fixture on our hearth. Oh well, the sight of it is somewhat reassuring. What a wonderful invention .... especially if you have a new puppy.
I just got a call from the doctor's office and they are refilling my prescription for pills to help the sciatic problem. Yay! Now I just need to get dressed, load the dogs in the car and hope I can make it down the hill in the snow and slush and even more important BACK UP THE HILL. I would leave the dogs home, but .... we have a new puppy, and although he would stay in the x-pen, my other dogs help him get out because they love to play with him.
I could wait for the pills until tomorrow, but since they are at the doctor's office instead of the drug store, it would not be tomorrow, it would be Monday and I cannot wait that long. The dinning table is buried under all the things I have been putting on it so they would not be eaten by the puppy.
I have three hours to go get pills, pick up a couple things at the grocery store and do what I can for the house when I get back up the slippery, slushy road. I will be accompanied by all the dogs, because just in case we were unable to get back home we need to be together and we certainly cannot leave the puppy!
You might think that all of this would be getting me down. It probably would except that I am too happy .... we are all having too much fun with the new puppy.
Hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving.
